Eight labourers were died and 32 others injured after their pick-up vehicle collided head-on with a truck near Chhimka village on the Bhind-Gwalior National Highway in Madhya Pradesh early today. The workers were returning to UP's Lakhimpur Kheri after paddy transplantation work in Gwalior. Police said the driver swerved to avoid cattle, and lost control.
