Kerala Home Minister Ramesh inaugurated the AI-based PRISM surveillance system at a central jail. Developed with Keltron, the system uses smart cameras to monitor inmate behaviour, prevent drug and contraband smuggling, and detect escape attempts. The jail will introduce a new diet without VIP food privileges, aiming to support prison reforms and rehabilitation.
