The UP government today imposed a statewide ban on analogue dairy products, including paneer, ghee and khoya. The decision follows earlier proposals for FSDA restrictions against mislabelled sales in hotels and restaurants. Uttarakhand, MP, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh have also introduced similar bans on vegetable-fat-based dairy substitutes.
