Food Safety Department officials found cockroaches, poor hygiene and expired food during inspections at canteens in Karnataka govt buildings. At Vikasa Soudha, cockroaches were found around food, while the Arogya Soudha canteen had expired idli rava and coconut powder. Officials also found improper food storage and weak pest control. Further action is expected.
