A statewide bandh has been called in Karnataka topday by Kannada activists and organisations protesting the release of Cauvery river water to Tamil Nadu. The 12-hour shutdown will run till 6 PM, with groups warning of an interstate border blockade. Activist Vatal Nagraj said more than 2,000 organisations and students support the bandh across the state.
