Assam's flood situation remained serious today, with over 1.12 lakh people affected across 4 districts as more rain was forecast. Several rivers were flowing above danger levels, raising fears of flooding in new areas. The IMD forecast thunderstorms, lightning and moderate to heavy rain in parts of Charaideo, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Sivasagar and Tinsukia districts.
