A government primary school in Maihar is facing allegations against its headmaster. Parents and students claim he often comes to school drunk, chews gutkha, arrives late and neglects teaching. They also allege children were made to clean faeces and do other unwanted tasks. Officials issued a show-cause notice and proposed suspension.
