Telangana Gig Workers Announce Indefinite Strike

Gig worker unions in Telangana will begin an indefinite strike from August 8 if their demands are not met. They seek minimum fares, fair pay, a welfare board and implementation of gig worker rules. The unions warned app-based transport and food delivery services across the state could face major disruptions during the strike.
