Maharashtra Tops Heatstroke Deaths, Telangana Leads Cases

Since March 1, India has reported 20 heatstroke deaths and 4,853 cases. Maharashtra recorded the highest deaths with 11, while Telangana reported the most cases at 915. The Centre has included heatwaves under disaster relief funds and strengthened heat action plans to improve preparedness and protect people from extreme summer temperatures.
