Flood Alert In Northeast As Heavy Rain Picks Up

The IMD said rainfall activity will intensify over northeast India and the central and eastern Himalayan foothills in the coming days. Heavy to very heavy showers are expected across the Northeast for five days. Meanwhile, rains will ease in south peninsular India, though coastal and south interior Karnataka may witness heavy showers for two more days.
