All 175 Crest Gates Opened At Dowleswaram Barrage

Rising floodwaters from upstream have increased the Godavari River level to 7.80 feet at the Dowleswaram Barrage. Officials have opened all 175 crest gates, releasing 5.28 lakh cusecs of water downstream to manage the inflow. The discharge is expected to touch 10 lakh cusecs by night, while the 1st danger warning will be issued if the level reaches 11.75 feet.
