Delhi HC Halts Judges’ Tax Return Processing

The Delhi High Court directed the Income Tax Department not to process income tax returns filed by Supreme Court and High Court judges in a case challenging a CBDT clarification on the taxability of judicial allowances under the new tax regime. The interim order will remain effective until the matter receives further judicial consideration.
