Voting began for the Bankipur Assembly bypoll in Bihar on Thursday with tight security. Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor alleged that police detained several of his supporters before polling at the BJP's behest. He claimed the ruling party feared defeat. Police had not responded to the allegations at the time of reporting.
