Jharkhand Crackdown Leads To 16 Maoist Surrenders

16 Maoists, including 6 carrying a ₹39 lakh bounty, surrendered before Jharkhand Police in Ranchi today. Among them were senior CPI (Maoist) members, including Santosh Mahto, wanted in 128 cases. The group also included 5 women. Police said weapons were recovered and termed the surrender a major success in ongoing anti-Maoist operations in the state.
