Delhi Police sources claimed 2,873 people with criminal records attended the Jantar Mantar protest over the past 6 days. According to the sources, 989 had serious criminal cases, including murder, rape, robbery and NDPS offences. Police said they identified them through technical methods and are investigating whether any were involved in violence during the protest.
