TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and urged quick action on petitions seeking the disqualification of 20 rebel MPs. He also requested the Speaker to revoke TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee’s suspension. The party said both matters should be resolved quickly and called for an early decision in Parliament during the current session.
