The Godavari River is flowing in heavy spate across Maharashtra after intense rainfall, inundating farmlands and several houses in Saikheda village of Nashik district. Authorities have also opened the gates of multiple irrigation projects to manage rising rain water levels. The Jayakwadi Dam has crossed 50 TMC storage out of its 102 TMC capacity.
