The Centre released ₹2,208.74 crore to states under PMMSY from 2023-26 to boost fisheries. Fish production rose 39.61% to 197.75 lakh tonnes, while exports grew 58.34% to ₹73,890 crore. Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh said allocations are performance-based and monitored through a digital MIS portal ensuring efficient utilisation of funds.
