Afghanistan ODI captain Hashmatullah Shahidi resigned from the role after the series loss to India, citing personal reasons. The 31-year-old will continue playing ODIs and remain Test captain. Shahidi led Afghanistan to 27 wins in 55 matches, including a memorable 2023 World Cup campaign, and thanked teammates, coaches and officials for their support.
