The government has blocked 50 OTT platforms in India over the last two years for allegedly showing obscene content and violating legal provisions, IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed Lok Sabha. He said action was taken under the IT Act, BNS and other laws. The government aims to ensure a safe, trusted and accountable digital environment for users.
