Shiv Sena (UBT) has approached the Supreme Court against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's approval of the merger of its six MPs with Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena. The party sought an urgent hearing, calling the decision unconstitutional. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut strongly criticised the Speaker's decision and questioned its legality.
