Mumbai Restricts Public Gatherings Amid Security Concerns

Mumbai Police banned gatherings of five or more people from July 23 to August 6 to prevent law and order problems. Processions, loudspeakers and crackers are also prohibited. Marriage functions, funerals, courts, government offices, schools and approved events are exempt. The restrictions were imposed after security inputs about possible public disturbances.
