Former MP Prajwal Revanna will attend grandmother Chennamma's funeral virtually from Bengaluru Central Prison after opting not to seek parole. Prison authorities approved his request on humanitarian grounds. Chennamma, wife of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, died after cardiac arrest and will be laid to rest in Hassan district with full honours.
