Amit Shah To Table Vande Mataram Bill Tomorrow

Amit Shah will introduce the Prevention of Insults to National Honour (Amendment) Bill, 2026, tomorrow in the Rajya Sabha during the Monsoon Session. The Bill seeks to grant Vande Mataram the same legal protection as Jana Gana Mana. If passed, insulting or disrupting the National Song will attract up to 3 years' imprisonment, a fine, or both under law.
