India's star badminton player PV Sindhu reached the Japan Open 2026 final after Chen Yufei retired injured in their semifinal. Sindhu was ahead 21-19 and 15-10 when the Chinese player pulled out due to a possible hamstring problem. The Indian star, currently ranked World No. 21-19, will play for the title against either Akane Yamaguchi or Putri Kusuma Wardani.
