Senior IPS officer Anurag Kumar has been appointed as Delhi Police Commissioner. A 1994-batch officer, he was serving as Special Director in the Intelligence Bureau before taking charge. He replaces Satish Golcha, who was removed before retirement. The Ministry of Home Affairs approved the move, and Kumar will serve until further orders.
