The Supreme Court expressed reservations over introducing a third language in Class 9 under the CBSE curriculum, saying it could increase stress for students preparing for board exams. The remarks came during Tamil Nadu's appeal hearing against a Madras High Court order on Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. Justice B V Nagarathna questioned the timing of the policy.
