Wrong-Side Driving: Delhi Files 2,000 FIRs In 6 Months

Delhi Police nearly doubled action against wrong-side driving in early 2026, issuing 3.42 lakh challans and 2,033 FIRs, a 98% rise year-on-year. Unauthorized parking challans rose 36.5% to 10.6 lakh. Eastern Range recorded the sharpest surge. The crackdown, reviewed by LG Taranjit Singh Sandhu, also targets helmetless and triple riding violations.
