A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck the southern Philippines near Mindanao on Friday, according to GFZ and USGS reports. The quake occurred at a depth of about 29–65 km. No tsunami warning was issued. It comes weeks after another strong quake in the same region that killed over 80 people, increasing concern in the area.
