K'taka Minister Defends Mekedatu Project Despite TN Objection

Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge said the state will continue to pursue the Mekedatu project and safeguard its water interests. Responding to Tamil Nadu’s resolution against the dam, he said the project only seeks to store surplus Cauvery water for Bengaluru and nearby regions. Tamil Nadu has urged the Centre to deny approvals for the project.
