Shock For PhonePe Customers: ₹100 Maintenance Fee On Idle Wallets

PhonePe will levy a ₹100 quarterly maintenance fee on wallets inactive for 365 days with no transactions. Users get a 15-day notice before deduction. If balance is insufficient, the available amount is taken and wallet becomes zero. UPI payments or app usage don't count as wallet activity. Other fintechs like MobiKwik and Airtel have similar inactivity charges.
