Air India has been directed to pay ₹74,131 to student Lavanya Magon after the Rajasthan State Consumer Commission found it failed to refund excess baggage charges despite her eligibility under its student travel scheme. She was charged on a 2021 London-India flight. The airline's refusal led to harassment and prolonged legal proceedings, the report said.
