Ujjwala Scheme: LPG Refills Reduced

The government has reduced the number of subsidised LPG cylinders under the Pradhan Mantri "Ujjwala Yojana" from 9 to 4 per year for beneficiaries. The subsidy of ₹300 per refill will now apply only to these four cylinders, limiting annual support. The move aims to align subsidies with average consumption and reduce fiscal burden.
