At least eight workers were killed and several others injured after molten iron spilled during a crane lifting operation at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Rescue teams are continuing search efforts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced Rs 2 lakh compensation for families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured. A detailed investigation is expected.
