Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar travelled by metro rail to Kanakapura for a "gratitude tour" to thank voters in his constituency after becoming Chief Minister. He said it was his first visit since taking office and expressed gratitude for their support over 40 years. To avoid traffic disruption, he chose the metro from Vidhana Soudha and continued by road.
